Children and Young People

We are delighted to welcome families with children of all ages to Holy Trinity with St John's. We want you and your children to feel relaxed and to be able to flourish in a safe and welcoming environment.

On the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month, children and young people aged 3-18 begin the service in church with their parent / carer and are then invited by the service leader to go out to their own groups.
Blast  Blaze  ignite
  • Blast - for children aged 3-7, although younger toddlers are welcome with a parent or carer
  • Blaze - for children aged 7-11
  • Ignite - for young people aged 11-18
Blast and Blaze begin their session together in the church hall, and usually split for age-appropriate activities during the session. They are encouraged to explore stories from the Bible through lively games and drama, craft and other activities, and learn to meet with Jesus through creative prayer.

Ignite meet in an upstairs room and begin their session with breakfast. They are encouraged to question and explore what the Bible says about a variety of issues relevant to young people, whilst having a lot of fun at the same time.

What about my children?

We actively welcome families with children of all ages. If your child is a baby or a toddler, they will remain with you for the duration of the service. A welcomer will give you a Toddler Bag as you come in - these contain a variety of toys and games to entertain your child. We are aware that it can be very hard for a toddler to remain in their seat throughout the service. If your child is getting restless, there is space on the carpeted area at the back where they can move about - and don't worry at all if they make a noise!
